Terms of Service

Effective date: June 25, 2026

1. Service

Parse My Statement converts uploaded bank statement PDFs into structured CSV, Excel, and JSON outputs. The conversion process is fully automated: it extracts text, sends extracted content to AI providers for normalization, identifies the issuing bank, reconciles running balances, validates output format, and generates downloadable exports. We may modify, improve, or discontinue features at any time.

2. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate registration and billing information. You are responsible for reviewing the outputs produced by the service before relying on them for any purpose.

3. Your upload representations

By uploading a document, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own the document or have the legal right and authority to upload and process it.
  • Your use of the service does not violate privacy, banking, employment, or other applicable laws.
  • The document does not contain unlawful content or material you are prohibited from disclosing.
  • You understand that the document will be processed by automated systems including third-party AI providers (DeepInfra for LLM processing, Mistral AI for OCR when needed).

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to break the law, interfere with platform security, probe systems without authorization, or process documents you are not entitled to handle.

5. How your data is handled

Processing involves automated handling of uploaded statements by Parse My Statement and disclosed third-party AI providers. A detailed description of each processing stage, including what data is sent to which provider and what is retained, is available in our Privacy Policy. The key points are:

  • Uploaded PDFs and generated outputs are retained for up to 24 hours, then permanently deleted.
  • Account data is retained while your account is active.
  • Anonymized quality metrics (page count, transaction count, processing speed, detected bank name, balance consistency) are retained permanently. These contain zero personal data and cannot be linked back to you.

6. AI-generated output and balance check disclaimer

The service uses automated OCR and AI extraction. Output may contain omissions, formatting issues, or classification errors. We also perform automated balance reconciliation checks on extracted data, but these checks are heuristic and quality-assurance tools — they do not constitute an audit, certification, or guarantee of accuracy. You are responsible for reviewing all results before using them for bookkeeping, reconciliation, tax, compliance, lending, legal, financial decision-making, or any critical purpose.

7. Bank identification disclaimer

The service automatically attempts to identify the issuing bank from the first page of your statement. This detection is performed by an AI model and may be incorrect, incomplete, or unavailable for some statements. Bank identification is used for internal quality tracking and public aggregate reporting only. It should not be relied upon for any compliance or verification purpose.

8. Quality-assurance analytics

We permanently store anonymized metadata from every conversion (page count, transaction count, processing speed, detected bank name, balance consistency, and format validation results) to monitor and improve service quality. This data is fully anonymized — it contains no names, account numbers, transaction descriptions, or any information that could identify you or your documents. We use this data to power public accuracy dashboards, detect regressions across model updates, and demonstrate the reliability of our service. Because this data is fully anonymized, it is not subject to deletion requests or data portability rights.

9. No professional advice

Parse My Statement does not provide accounting, tax, audit, legal, or financial advice. The service is a data conversion and quality-check tool only. Outputs should be reviewed by a qualified professional before being used for any regulated or high-stakes purpose.

10. Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance unless stated otherwise. Taxes and payment-processor fees may apply based on your location and payment method. Refunds are handled according to the refund policy displayed at the point of purchase.

11. Disclaimer and liability limits

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on extracted statement data, balance reconciliation results, or bank identification results.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, abuse, security risks, non-payment, or legal requirements. You may stop using the service at any time. Upon termination, remaining account data will be deleted per our retention schedule.
